Hey beauties! Today's topic is inspired by a question I get asked a TON in that first conversation with new clients. They want to know "how long is this going to take?" And understandably so! Therapy is a big commitment of time, energy and money, so of course, people are going to want to know how long to expect to be in therapy for. Though one can never predict how long therapy will take, I've determined 5 main components to what influences the course of treatment:
1 | Where are they starting, and where do they want to go?
2 | The client's readiness and commitment to changing their behavior
3 | The type of therapy
4 | The therapist's skill level
5 | Does the client want "fast acting" or "long lasting"?
